Gamefam and Paramount Games Studio Unveil First-Ever SpongeBob SquarePants Game on Roblox 

Fans can explore Bikini Bottom with their friends starting on Friday, January 26, 2024 

SpongeBob Simulator allows users to transform into fan-favorite characters such as SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick Star, Squidward Tentacles, Mr. Krabs, Sandy Cheeks, and more

LOS ANGELES. January 18, 2024 – SpongeBob SquarePants is bringing his home in a pineapple under the sea to Roblox. Today, Gamefam, the leading metaverse game developer and strategist, unveiled that it is joining forces with Paramount Games Studio to release SpongeBob Simulator, the first official Roblox game built wholly around the nautical, nonsensical universe of Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants

Launching Friday, January 26, 2024, SpongeBob Simulator is a collecting game where players can go on an adventure with their friends around the world of Bikini Bottom. Players can unlock and collect special “mini buddies” modeled after the quintessential supporting cast of the series including snails, jellyfish and mini clone versions of the characters. The experience will invite the more than 70 million daily users on Roblox to transform into SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick Star, Squidward Tentacles, Mr. Krabs, Sandy Cheeks and other iconic characters from the blockbuster franchise as they visit this digital rendition of Bikini Bottom. Taking part in the nautical nonsense of SpongeBob, players will team up to explore a vast, faithfully-designed world featuring their favorite under the sea areas, including Conch Street, and eventually Goo Lagoon and Kelp Forest.

SpongeBob Simulator comes on the heels of Paramount and Gamefam’s highly successful Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Battle Tycoon game on Roblox, which has drawn 20 million players since its launch in August 2023. 

SpongeBob Simulator will be available for free on Roblox via most platforms and devices, including consoles, PCs, mobile, and tablets, starting on January 26, 2024.
